Washington Business Journal – Mexican Restaurant Nada coming to Pike & Rose

A modern Mexican restaurant is coming to Pike & Rose.

Nada, a concept from Cincinnati-based Boca Restaurant Group, has signed a lease with Federal Realty Investment Trust at the Rockville development, it announced Thursday. The restaurant is slated to open in early 2018.

This Nada location — the first on the East Coast and the fifth for the chain — will have 6,300 square feet of indoor dining and bar space, with roughly 140 seats between the cantina, dining room and smaller entertainment rooms. The dining room wraps around an open kitchen, and an outdoor patio will have space for about 50 seats. The design will include urban materials like brick and steel, according to a release.

The bar menu will have seasonal cocktails, local craft brews and margarita pitchers called “Nadaritas.” Cuisine will feature a variety of dishes, including housemade chips and guacamole, moo shu pork belly tacos and braised chicken enchiladas. Nada will serve lunch and dinner every day, and brunch on weekends.

Nada also operates in Indianapolis; Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio; and will open in Nashville later this year. This Nada location joins a number of other restaurants and shops at the three-year-old Pike & Rose development on Rockville Pike.
